3A Team of the Week: Edna Cowboys
Edna and Jourdanton were largely regarded as the two favorites in 3A Division I Region IV. So when the two met up this past week in the area round, many assumed it would be a close game.
By the end of the evening, Edna left no doubt to who was the better team. The Cowboys jumped out to a 36-0 halftime lead as they demolished Jourdanton 46-6.
According to Sam Fowler of the Victoria Advocate, Kade Rodas had two rushing touchdowns, while Edna quarterback Jaiden Clay threw for three scores. Cornerback Keegan Hicks also had two interceptions for the Cowboy defense.

A year after winning its first region championship since 2014, Edna is in the driving seat again in Region IV. The Cowboys will aim to continue their dominance against Vanderbilt Industrial this Friday at 1:00 in Bay City.
