Thursday night ended up being a great night for former Lake Travis quarterback Baker Mayfield. The Oklahoma senior quarterback finished the night taking home three awards: the Walter Camp Award (national player of the year), the Davey O’Brien Award (best quarterback) and the Maxwell Award (best all around player).

Mayfield finished the regular season with 4,340 yards and 41 passing touchdowns on the season. He also ran for 310 yards and five scores. His stellar play has helped put the Sooners in position in the College Football Playoff. Oklahoma faces off against Clemson in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day.
The former state title winner is also in the running for the Heisman Trophy along with Stanford running back Bryce Love and Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson. That award will be handed out Saturday night in New York City.
