Baylor has locked down a commitment from Trevon Lewis, a DB from Houston Lamar. It’s the first commitment of the Matt Rhule era.

Trevon is the Houston Touchdown Club Defensive Player of the Year for 2016, and he’ll look to make a splash with the defensive-minded Rhule. Rhule’s Temple Owls ranked 12th in scoring defense this year. This is Baylor’s second commitment in the 2017 class.
This is obviously an excellent pickup for Baylor. Lewis scores when he touches the ball (INT return TD, fumble recovery TD, two return TDs in 2016), and he can lay the wood as well. (92 tackles in 2016). It’s a good start for Baylor, who has understandably struggled in recruiting this year in the wake of a huge scandal.
