A three-star prospect with 19 total offers to date, Johnson sided with the Aggies over options including Oklahoma State, Baylor, Iowa State and SMU, among others.
With Johnson now on board, who joins a current and future teammate in Manvel running back pledge Deneric Prince, the Aggies have reeled in six total commits this month, including two 2019 additions. As far as the 2018 class is concerned, Johnson’s commitment gives Texas A&M its 11th pledge this cycle and lifts the class to No. 12 nationally and No. 3 in the SEC.
As a junior for Manvel, Johnson compiled 62 total tackles and three sacks. Johnson is ranked as the nation’s No. 711 player, No. 49 outside linebacker and the No. 93 player in Texas, per 247Sports Composite.
