Cedar Hill standout offensive tackle Courtland Ford announced his verbal commitment to USC on Monday evening via Twitter:
The three-star athlete, who previously pledged to LSU, reopened his recruitment in the summer, focusing on local schools as well at USC and Purdue over elite programs like Alabama, Georgia, TCU and Baylor.
It seems a visit to Los Angeles over the weekend solidified his decision to commit to joining the Trojans.
Ford is rated the No. 52 offensive tackle in the state, according to 247sports.com, and is included in Dallas Morning News SportsDay High School’s too 100 prospects, falling in at No. 14.
Ford helped lead Cedar Hill to a District 7-6A title this season with a 9-3 record.
The 6-foot-6, 305-pound senior described his visit to USC as being like a family and says he could make a home there.
