The rising senior is the younger brother of Octavius Evans, who signed with Boise State following the end of last season.
The younger Evans was the second leading receiver on the team behind his brother last season, finishing with 28 catches for 500 yards and five touchdowns. That said, JaTerious was a star on the defensive side of the ball recording 30 tackles and four interceptions last year. Evans was a second team all-district selection receiver and was an all-district specialist as well. With his older brother gone, Evans should be even more of a focal point on both sides of the ball for Center, who finished 6-5 in 2016.
The Roughriders open their season on September 1 at Rusk.
