Four Central Texas teams went into Friday undefeated. Four Central Texas teams left the Friday Night Lights with their perfect records Intact.

The ninth week of the Texas HS Football schedule saw Class 6A Westlake, Class 4A Wimberley, Class 3A Llano, and Class 3A Lexington maintain their win streaks. Here’s how it went down:

Westlake (9-0)

As reported over the weekend, Westlake continued their playoff streak (36 consecutive seasons), obliterating Austin High 70-0. It was also the Chaparrals 48th straight win. Even more good news for the team: former quarterback Sam Ehlinger is starting for the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday.

Wimberley (8-0)

This de facto district championship game against Geronimo Navarro went Wimberley’s way, besting their rival 21-14. Ranked sixth in the state, the Texans continued their streak against the Panthers, beating the team for the second consecutive time since holding them scoreless last fall.

Llano (9-0)

The Llano Yellowjackets had it wrapped up in the first half, scoring 17 consecutive. Both teams weren’t impressive offensively, but the Jackets did enough to hold on and stay undefeated.

Lexington (8-0)

Clifton still hasn’t gotten a win in district, getting blown out by the ninth-ranked Eagles 40-7. Daylon Washington was a beast, rushing for two TDs on just six carries and catching a score through the air. He was responsible for 176 of the team’s all purpose yards.
