Cibolo Steele receiver Daniel Jackson and Shadow Creek safety Xavion Alford received their All-American Bowl jerseys Tuesday.
Both players already committed to play in the game but were not officially awarded the honor.
Jackson and Alford both had ceremonies at their respective schools to receive their jerseys.
Jackson is actually following in the footsteps of his brother Mark Jackson, who received the same honor.
Cibolo’s season ended this past week with a 30-7 loss to Austin Westlake in the first round of the playoffs. Jackson racked up 1044 yards and eight touchdowns on 66 catches.
He is currently the No. 71 prospect in the state of Texas with a 3-star rating according to the 247Sports.com. He is currently committed to Iowa State.
Alford sat out most of his senior year due to an injury suffered in the beginning of the season. He is working on his recovery and believes he will be able to play in the game.
He is currently committed to Texas and holds a 4-star rating as the No. 9 safety in the country and No. 22 overall recruit in the state of Texas according to the 247Sports.com.
Shadow Creek is still undefeated with an 11-0 record after defeating Port Arthur Memorial in the first round of the playoffs.
They play Hutto on Friday in the area round.
