Labor Day Weekend is turning into one of the best weekends in a while for Julon Williams. Just two days after leading Converse Judson to an impressive season-opening win over the Lake Travis Cavaliers, the senior quarterback made a big decision over the weekend: where he would play on the next level.
On Sunday, Williams made his verbal commitment to Houston, choosing the Cougars over offers from Northwestern, Oklahoma State, TCU and UTSA among others.

Williams becomes Commit No. 22 in the Class of 2018 for Major Applewhite and the Cougars and is the second-highest ranked commit in the class behind DeSoto running back Kelan Walker.
The Rockets superstar is a Top-100 athlete in Texas according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings and has been a four-year starter at quarterback. Entering the 2017 season, Williams had amassed 4,631 passing yards, 2,550 rushing yards and 84 total touchdowns during his career.

On Friday night against the defending Class 6A Division I state champions, Williams put on another show as he put up another 501 total yards and four touchdowns en route to a 65-45 shootout victory. As the Rockets move forward, expect the new Houston commit to be a big part of what Judson hopes to achieve this year, which could end at AT&T Stadium in December.
