The Dallas Cowboys were the first NFL team to take a former Texas High School Football star on Saturday after selecting Tulsa defensive back Reggie Robinson II (Cleburne) with the 123 overall pick of the NFL Draft.
Robinson II hopes to help the Cowboys improve from an 8-8 season in 2019 and the franchise is looking to break a nearly quarter-century Super Bowl drought. In addition to Robinson II, the Cowboys also selected Oklahoma wide receiver Cedarian “CeeDee” Lamb (Richmond Foster) with the 17th overall pick on Thursday.
Robinson II made 22 starts at Tulsa and recorded 94 tackles and 21 pass break ups. He was a three-year letterman at Cleburne.
