The three-star recruit chose Oklahoma State over offers from Cal, Houston, New Mexico, North Texas and UTSA among others. He becomes the tenth recruit and the sixth Texan in the Cowboys’ 2018 recruiting class which is currently the top-ranked class in the Big 12 per 247 Sports.
Williams was a first team all-district selection and an all-state honorable mention for the Cy Ridge Rams in 2016. He’s shown the versatility to play guard or center which should help him at the next level. Heading into his senior season, Williams is expected to be a mainstay up front for the Rams who will try to make another deep run in 2017 after advancing to the Class 6A Division II regional finals before falling to Katy Cinco Ranch last season.
