Quarterback Darien Rogers then threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Aiden Whitehead, giving Cy-Woods its first lead of the game. The Wildcats’ defense forced another three-and-out, but a fumble returned possession to Langham Creek. Daymond Ruiz capitalized by scoring his third touchdown on a 24-yard run. However, Cy-Woods quickly regained the lead after Rogers connected with Cogdill again for a 27-yard touchdown, ending the 3rd quarter with Cy-Woods leading 24-21.
4th Quarter
In the 4th quarter, Langham Creek attempted to shift momentum but was forced to punt after reaching midfield. Cy-Woods punt returner Aj Canton made a game-changing play, returning the punt 90 yards for a touchdown, extending the lead to 31-21. Langham Creek fought back, reaching the red zone, but a missed field goal sealed their fate. With seven minutes remaining, Cy-Woods drained the clock, and in the final minute, Rogers threw his third touchdown to Cogdill. Canton’s interception in the closing moments secured Cy-Woods’ 38-21 victory, keeping their perfect record intact.
