The past few weeks have seen its shocking turn of events in Denton ISD.
Just two weeks ago, Denton Braswell head coach Cody Moore resigned to accept a job in Plano, and within 24 hours, he was back at his post at Braswell.
Then the shocking news bomb of them all.
During the late hours Monday night, Denton Guyer head coach John Walsh dropped the massive news that he has stepped away as the head football coach of the Wildcats.

According to Reece Waddell of the Denton Record Chronicle, Walsh resigned late Monday night in a statement, saying he is walking away, “respecting the game he loves, the school I cherish, and the young men I love.”

Walsh has been at Guyer from the beginning, helping them build a state powerhouse. During 14 seasons, Walsh went to four state title games, experienced two state victories, and had a record of 131-56.
