Diamond Hill-Jarvis will be welcoming a new face to the program as a new head coach has been hired.

Per Matt Stepp, Springlake-Earth defensive coordinator Oscar Castillo has been tabbed the head honcho for the Fort Worth program.

Castillo will be coming over after helping the Springlake-Earth program make a Class 2A Division II bi- district appearance before losing to Hamlin and ending their 2016 season at 4-7. Castillo had been with the program since 2014. Prior to his tenure at Springlake-Earth, Castillo had stints at Louise, Lubbock Coronado, Manuel, J. Frank Dobie and Brasosport.

Castillo will be inheriting a program that was winless last season and have lost 68 straight games.

Diamond Hill-Jarvis has not won a game since 2010.
