“After long nights of praying and much throught….I’m ready,” Henderson Tweeted. “I WILL be closing my recruitment down 100% for good. I also want to thank all Universities for the love and support throughout this recruitment process. At heart I’m a duck. I will be committing to the University of Oregon!”
A four-star prospect, the Richmond native held 46 offers from prominent program around the nation, such as Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, LSU, Ohio State and Michigan, among others. The Longhorns were considered the slight favorite prior to the junior-to-be’s pledge to Oregon on Saturday afternoon.
As a sophomore for Fort Bend Travis, Henderson hauled in 100 receptions for 1,401 yards and 18 touchdowns en route to his explosion onto the recruiting scene. Meanwhile, Henderson shot up the recruiting rankings charts and to date, he’s considered the nation’s No. 52 player, No. 12 wide receiver prospect and the No 8 player in Texas in the 2019 class, per 247Sports Composite.
Henderson now gives Oregon its first 2019 pledge.
