This will be the first time that a TCU game was featured on College GameDay since 2014. Coincidentally enough, it was the same matchup between these two teams that will be front and center again. That year, ESPN traveled to Morgantown, West Virginia.
This will also be the first time that ESPN will be in Fort Worth since the 2009 season. That year, then fourth-TCU defeated then No. 16 Utah 55-28 in a primetime showdown when both teams were in the Mountain West Conference.
The Horned Frogs were ranked seventh in last week’s Associated Press poll and had the week off after beating Oklahoma State in Stillwater on September 23. West Virginia was ranked No. 23 in the AP poll last week and are also coming off a bye week. In their last game, the Mountaineers defeated Kansas 56-34.
The game kicks off Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CST.
