A former Denton Guyer receiver is heading back to the Lone Star State to finish his college eligibility. Former Arizona State wide receiver Ellis Jefferson announced via his Instagram that he was transferring to Houston as a graduate transfer for his final season.
The move was confirmed was by Rivals writer Joe Healey.

It was also reported back in February that Jefferson would be seeking a graduate transfer.
He arrived in Tempe back in 2013 and redshirted his first season. He had a combined 23 catches for 204 yards and two touchdowns the next two seasons before seeing his production drop to just catching two passes for 21 yards in 2016.
With Houston losing its top two receivers from a year ago in Chance Allen and Linell Bonner, it could present a great opportunity for the former three-star recruit from Denton Guyer under new Houston head coach Major Applewhite.
The 2017 season will be Jefferson’s last year of eligibility.
