Yesterday, former Baylor TE Tre’von Armstead was arrested in Port Arthur, and charged with three counts of felony second-degree sexual assault. All of the charges stemmed from an alleged sexual assault in 2013, when Armstead was still playing football at Baylor. The story was first reported by the Waco Tribune-Herald.
Armstead was named in a Title IX lawsuit filed in January that states that Baylor did nothing about a culture of sexual violence that includes a staggering 52 rapes over four years.
Armstead was an All-Big 12 tight end in 2014.
