Wallace has standout game in loss
Oklahoma State wide receiver filled up the stat sheets one last time against his home-state school, but it wasn’t enough as the Cowboys fell at home to the Texas Longhorns 41-34 in overtime.
Wallace had 11 catches for 187 yards and two touchdowns during OSU’s Halloween afternoon loss. Both Oklahoma State (4-1, 3-1 Big 12) and Texas (4-2, 3-2) are among a group of six teams within a game of the Big 12 lead.
The former Fort Worth South Hills star caught a seven-yard touchdown pass from Spencer Sanders (Denton Ryan) to open the scoring less than five minutes into the game and then hauled in a nine-yard scoring reception to extend OSU’s lead to 31-20 midway through the third quarter.
Wallace posted 3,760 yards and 48 touchdowns on 182 receptions during his high school career and earned Under Armour All-America honors.
Oklahoma State visits Kansas State (4-2, 4-1) at 3 p.m. Saturday on Fox.
