The former four-star prospect was a standout defensive end at Aldine MacArthur High School where he was a two-time all-state selction. Chambers signed with TCU as a member of their 2016 recruiting class over Texas and Texas A&M among others.
He was expected to see significant playing time this season to go with Ben Banogu, Mat Boesen and Brandon Bowen at TCU. Chambers now heads back to Houston to play under new head coach Major Applewhite. He will have to sit out a season because of NCAA transfer rules and will be eligible to play during the 2018 season.
