David Ash used to be the future of Texas football, much like how Shane Buechele and Sam Ehlinger are now. He was the MVP of the 2011 Holiday Bowl, but was forced to retire in 2014 due to concussion issues.
Fast forward three years, and now we have one of the most interesting stories of the entire offseason – David Ash is cleared to play, and will be participating in the Longhorns’ Pro Day.
Interesting, former Texas QB David Ash says he has been given medical clearance by his doctors to return to football. Will be at UT Pro Day.

This is interesting for a number of reasons, but chief among them is the fact that David Ash was actually pretty good at Texas. He was a slight dual threat guy, but he has the arm to potentially make it big. His workout will easily the be most interesting part of Texas’s Pro Day, even outclassing D’Onta Foreman’s 40 yard dash.
