The Texas Longhorns continue to light it up on the recruiting trail and have added yet another top Houston area prospect to the fold. On Friday night, Houston Heights cornerback Jalen Green announced his commitment to Texas through a video he posted on his Twitter account on Friday.

The elite prospect chose the Longhorns over LSU, Ohio State, Oregon and Penn State who were in his top five. Green had over 30 offers from across the country.
Green’s commitment comes less than a week after highly touted receiver Al’vonte Woodard of Houston Lamar announced his commitment to the Longhorns.
The 6-1 cornerback is ranked as the No. 37 overall recruit in the country and No. 5 cornerback in the country, per 247Sports. He recently returned from competing at The Opening in Oregon and he is committed to play in the U.S. Army All-American Game. Green was also expected to attend the ‘Stars at Night’ recruiting event in Austin on Friday night.
Green becomes commit No. 13 in the class and moves Texas back into the Top 5 of the 247 Sports Composite Rankings.
