The recruiting dominoes are still falling, and the latest one is going to make the Houston Cougars happy all around. Tahj Brown from Donaldsonville, Louisiana has committed to the Cougars.

The senior to be oscillated between defensive end and middle linebacker as a junior, racking up 120 tackles, 20 TFL, 5 sacks, and 2 picks in 2016. He’s a three star recruit and one of the top 100 players in Louisiana no matter what recruiting rankings you look at. The massive Brown does just about everything for Donaldsonville, but projects as a defensive end in college.

The Houston Cougars will be leaning on a strong defensive line in Major Applewhite’s first year as head coach. The Cougars have a lot to replace along their defense, but with players like Ed Oliver and Jerard Carter returning they should be just fine.
