A 6’3, 205-pound prospect, Kirven starred for 2A Mart in 2016, racking up 122 total tackles and 21 tackles for loss throughout a standout junior campaign. The central Texas product led Mart to a 12-1 record with the lone loss coming to Crawford, 27-20, in the playoffs.
Kirven becomes commit number five for Houston as part of Major Applewhite’s debut recruiting cycle as the Cougars head coach.
Kirven is currently unranked by the recruiting services.
