AUSTIN – Matthew Baldwin has committed to Ohio State, after recently decommitting from Colorado State.

Baldwin, a senior from Lake Travis, is a three-star quarterback who has impressed in 2017. He recently decommited from Colorado State November 30.

The senior has thrown for 3,397 yards this year and 41 touchdown passes. Lake Travis is looking to make a run toward the state championship this year and he has been a huge part of it.

Baldwin announced his commitment to Ohio State on Twitter. Lake Travis has produced phenomenal college quarterbacks, one of which Baker Mayfield.

Lake Travis coach Hank Carter recently said Baldwin has only gotten better in his first full season as starter for the Cavaliers.

“I think he gets better every day,” Carter said. “He’s only started 13 games in his varsity career. I think there’s a difference in the way that he’s playing compared to how he was in the beginning of the season and he started off hot.”

Before college, Baldwin and Lake Travis travel to San Antonio to take on the undefeated O’Connor Panthers.
