Despite the Bears 0-4 start to the season, Platt, a Willis High School wideout, was enjoying a successful year. He nearly mirrored his stats from the entire previous season during an early 2017 stint. Platt hauled in a pair of touchdown grabs in games against Liberty and Duke, adding 148 yards receiving in the latter. He tallied 93 yards and a score on five catches in the Oklahoma game before going down.
Platt played in all 13 games for the Bears in 2016, recording 567 yards and four touchdowns on 35 receptions. He gained 401 yards and scored four touchdowns on 16 catches before the injury.
Platt, in a recent Twitter post, assured fans he’d be back — and explosive as ever:

Platt was named the 18-4A Special Teams MVP in both 2012 and 2013. He recorded 817 all-purpose yards, played in theSemper Fidelis All-American Bowl in Carson, Calif., and earned Montgomery County Player of the Year honors his senior year.
