Austin Roof Inspection

On Friday, October 4th, the Monterey Plainsmen traveled across town to face the Coronado Mustangs in a district rivalry matchup. The Plainsmen were coming off a 50-42 victory over Amarillo, while the Mustangs sought to bounce back from a 29-16 loss to Tascosa.

The first half was marked by slow offensive play, with Monterey leading 7-6 by the end of the first quarter. Dezmond Williams helped extend the Plainsmen’s lead with a 52-yard touchdown, sending Monterey into halftime up 14-6.

In the second half, Monterey took full control. Williams and Darron Moore combined for three touchdowns, while the Plainsmen’s defense held Coronado to just one more score. Monterey dominated the game, winning 42-12.

Next week, Monterey faces Lubbock High, and Coronado takes on the Abilene Eagles.
