As of this writing, we don’t officially know which prospects will be attending the 2017 NFL Draft, but it appears that the potential top overall pick will not be one of them. According to Brent Zwerneman of The Houston Chronicle, Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett will be staying home in Arlington with his family to watch the draft.
Garrett said nothing will change his mind on this, he wants to watch NFL draft with his parents and family in his home. https://t.co/yYsFgU3Gyl

In an interview with Zwerneman, Garrett said that he wants to be able to cherish the moment with his family and everyone who has helped him get to where he is now. If Garrett is chosen first overall, he would become the second top pick to skip attending the draft after Jameis Winston in 2015.
Despite battling injuries for most of the season, the former Arlington Martin star finished with 33 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and 8.5 sacks during his final year in College Station.
The NFL Draft will be in Philadelphia this year and take place from April 27-29.
