Just hours after earning a commitment from Aledo athlete Jeffery Carter, Oklahoma struck gold again as 2020 Aledo running back Jase McClellan sided with the Sooners during his visit.

Currently an unranked prospect, the Fort Worth-area product has already compiled an impressive offer lists that includes invitations from Baylor, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Oregon, TCU and Texas A&M, among others. Oklahoma offered earlier in the spring during a March 25 visit and on Saturday, the Sooners earned a significant pledge from a prospect who’s nothing short of a star in the making.

As a freshman, McClellan rushed 202 times for 1,528 yards and 20 touchdowns as a headliner of a state championship team in 2016. Such an effort has McClellan considered by some to be the top 2020 prospect in the entire state and he’s now pledges to an out-of-sate powerhouse with a rich history of talented running backs.

McClellan now becomes Oklahoma’s first 2020 commit and provides Lincoln Riley and his staff with an elite prospect to build their class around.
