A pair of Oklahoma football players from the DFW area were arrested early Sunday morning for public intoxication.
Chris Robinson, an early-enrollee freshman quarterback, and Ronnie LaRue, a walk-on defensive back, were booked in the early hours of the morning. The arrests come in the middle of what is becoming a turbulent offseason for Oklahoma with the arrest of star quarterback Baker Mayfield and cornerback Parrish Cobb. Cobb has been suspended from the university.
Robinson played his high school football at Mesquite Horn, and LaRue played for Bishop Dunne. Neither was expected to start in the fall.
