What was the highlight of your 2022 football season?

The highlight of my 2022 season was being voted captain of the defense. I was proud to lead a young defense into the third round of the playoffs, where we fell short to the team that would later go on to win state. 

What was the biggest challenge you or your team had to overcome this season?

The biggest challenge that our team had to overcome was our lack of experience. A bunch of our team was first-year varsity guys and had to mature in their game very quickly. The guys stood up to the challenge and never flinched. 

If you could give advice to an incoming freshmen football player, what would it be?

My advice to an incoming freshman football player is to never take it for granted. The summer workouts and long practices may suck in the moment, but it will be over with before you know it. Live in the moment and find a way to embrace the suck.

If you had to go to an island and only bring 3 things, what would you bring?

If I was stranded on an island, I would bring a fishing pole, Gatorade, and ice cream. 

Who is your favorite NFL Team?

My favorite NFL team is the LA Rams 

Who is your favorite NFL Player?

Micah Parsons is my favorite NFL player

What is your go-to pre-game pump-up song?

Enter Sandman by Metallica 

Why do you love football?

I love football because of the life lessons that it has taught me. Football has taught me how to be mentally tough and persevere when things start to get hard. Football has built bonds that will last forever between players and coaches. Lessons that I have learned through football are priceless because they can’t be taught anywhere else. I have become a better person because of football, and I couldn’t thank football enough for forging me into the man that I am now.
