Cowboys-Texans Preseason Game Cancelled

It appears that the final preseason tuneup between the Cowboys and Texans will not go on after all. As first reported by NFL Network Insider Ian Rapaport, the game has been cancelled.

The game was originally scheduled to be played at NRG Stadium in Houston; however, the game was moved to AT&T Stadium in Arlington due to the impact of Hurricane Harvey. Multiple reports stated that the Texans had a chance to return to Houston since the storm and are taking that opportunity to go home. They had been practicing for the past week in Frisco at The Star.

The latest reports indicated that 40,000 tickets had been sold for the game on Thursday night. Per The Dallas Morning News, those tickets can either be refunded or given towards relief efforts.

The latest weather reports indicate that Tropical Storm Harvey was moving in a north-northeast direction outside of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The cancellation gives the chance for players and those associated with the team to spend time with their families who had been affected by the storm.
