With the commitment, Thomas becomes the 12th commit in the Mustangs 2018 class for head coach Chad Morris.
The 6-4, 270 pound lineman was a first-team all-district selection last year ands was part of a core unit that helped Lubbock Coronado make one of the biggest turnarounds in the state. After going just 3-7 in 2015, the Mustangs finished with an 11-2 overall record and a spot in the regional semifinals in the Class 5A Division I playoffs.
He and the rest of the offensive line will be a key part in getting Lubbock Coronado back to those same heights in 2017.
