Little Movement in Latest AP Poll as TCU Stays Put in Rankings

Through eight weeks of the season, TCU is still in a good spot in the rankings, staying at No. 4 in the latest Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Polls. The Horned Frogs made quick work of the Kansas Jayhawks with a 43-0 win on Saturday night in Fort Worth.

TCU looked stout in their win, holding Kansas to just 21 yards of total offense. It was the fewest total yards against an FBS opponent in more than 20 years. Kenny Hill also looked efficient on offense, throwing for 278 yards and five touchdowns in the win.

The Horned Frogs will have a test next Saturday as they travel to Ames, Iowa to take on the No. 25 Iowa State Cyclones. Iowa State is coming off a road win at Texas Tech on Saturday in Lubbock.

The only other Texas team that is either ranked or on the cusp of being ranked is Texas A&M. The Aggies were off this week and stayed at No. 24 in the Coaches Poll while receiving the most votes outside the Top 25 in the AP Poll. The Aggies host Mississippi State on Saturday night in College Station.
