As Texas A&M enters the Jimbo Fisher era, the Aggie defense will have one of their top playmakers back in 2018. Senior safety Donovan Wilson announced via Twitter on Sunday that he would be back for a fifth season after suffering a foot injury in the season opener against UCLA.
Things didn’t go as planned this year but after lots of praying and talking to my family and teammates I am excited and blessed to announce that I will be returning to Texas A&M for a 5th year thanks and Gig em 👍🏾

Wilson will be able to use 2017 as a redshirt season, considering that he had not used it during his time in College Station since arriving in 2014. The senior team captain had 59 tackles in 12 games in 2016.
With the Aggies losing defensive backs Armani Watts and Priest Willis, Wilson is in line to have a big role with the Texas A&M secondary in 2018.
