A three-star prospect from the San Antonio-area, Wright also held offers from UTSA, Air Force, Army, New Mexico and Rice. The first-team all-district 27-6A selection becomes Texas Tech’s second pledge on Sunday and seventh commit within the last six days.
Despite the recent surge of the recruiting trail, Texas Tech still ranks No. 43 nationally and No. 8 in the Big 12.
At 6’6, 290 pounds, Wright ranks as the nation’s No. 128 offensive tackle and the No. 230 player in Texas, per 247Sports Composite.
