Texas Tech’s Jonathan Giles Will Transfer To LSU

Earlier this month, Jonathan Giles announced his transfer from Texas Tech. Yesterday, he announced his destination – LSU.

Giles was excellent in Kliff Kingsbury’s explosive offense, racking up 1,158 yards on 69 receptions as a sophomore. Giles also scored 13 times.

He won’t be the first Red Raider to transfer to LSU. Giles’s announcement comes on the heels of Breiden Fehoko’s transfer to LSU. Both will be eligible in the 2018 season for the Tigers.

The Tigers went 8-4 in the 2016 season, and culminated their campaign with a 29-9 thrashing of Louisville and Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson. Texas Tech did not make a bowl game, they ended their season at 5-7.
