Tom Herman lost a few defensive linemen to transfers, so getting fresh bodies in the fold has become a priority for the Longhorns. Texas does not currently have any defensive tackle signees in the 2018 class. Herman and his revamped UT coaching staff are going to get a little bit of a grace period, but how much of a grace period remains to be seen. The Longhorns open the season with Maryland, and will end their pre-conference schedule with a bout against USC in California.
