If you’ve been following the UIL Press releases, the UIL has been busy denying varsity eligibility and upholding their initial rulings. In most of these cases, it is because it is determined that the student did not transfer for academic purposes.

AUSTIN, TX — The State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League met Wednesday to hand down decisions on eligibility of student-athletes.
Two student-athletes from Leander High School, three student-athletes from Texarkana Texas High School, and a student-athlete from Hamshire-Fannett High School were denied an appeal for varsity eligibility, upholding the previous ruling of the district executive committees.
