UTSA Senior Going To Senior Bowl

SAN ANTONIO – UTSA is having a pretty good week or. Marcus Davenport is having a great year.

Throughout his senior year in San Antonio, the senior defensive end has 7.5 sacks in 11 games as he has displayed his dominance. To add onto his resume, he has now accepted an invitation to play in the 2018 Reese’s Senior Bowl.

Davenport, a preseason All-Conference USA selection, has a total of 49 tackles and 15.5 tackles for loss. He ranks 10th nationally for TFL per game, 14th in sacks per game and 17th in fumbles forced.

Davenport, a Stevens high school alum, has three UTSA records under his name. He joins three other Roadrunners who have gone to a postseason all-star game. The ohter two are David Morgan II and Kam Jones.

The game is held on Jan. 27 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. It will be televised on the NFL Network at 1:30 that day.
