3A Team of the Week: Cameron Yoe Yoemen

District 11-3A Division I is a buzzsaw with both 3A state champs from last year now competing in the same district.

The opening week of district action didn’t disappoint.

Behind 323 yards passing from its quarterback Braylan Drake, Cameron Yoe pulled off a big upset on the road, defeating defending 3A Division I state champion Lorena 48-44.

Armando Reyes paced the ground game with 47 yards and two touchdowns, while senior Trayjen Wilcox led the way through the air with 88 receiving yards in the Yoemen’s statement victory.

Cameron Yoe will now have a bye week before gearing up for its home district opener against Little River Academy.
