LD Bell may not be heading to the postseason after coming out on the wrong end of a three-way tiebreaker, but the Blue Raiders head into the offseason off the back of a momentous victory.
After 25-straight losses, dating back to 1997, the Blue Raiders finally knocked off their rivals Euless Trinity.
Quarterback Maddox Olatunde did it all for the Blue Raider offense. He threw for 151 yards and a touchdown and added another 121 yards and a score on the ground in a 24-21 victory. Andrew Rosen‘s late 23-yard field goal for LD Bell was the difference in the game.
Elsewhere offensively, Kenny Earskin added 46 yards and a touchdown on the ground, while Delvechio Ellis led the receiving corps with four catches for 65 yards.
The Blue Raiders have now finished above .500 each of the past two seasons, falling just short of the playoffs both times.
Their playoff drought has now reached 10 years, but this win certainly gives the program a big boost heading into the offseason.
