Wimberley Texans Blank Manor New Tech 72-0
On Friday night, the Wimberley Texans took on Manor New Tech in district play. The Texans started the game off strong as Cody Stoever and Caleb McCreless combined for 105 yards on 7 of 9 passes combined. They connected with receivers Nolan Waida for a 20-yard touchdown, Ace Gonzales 2 times for 7 yards, Noah Birdsong once for 22 yards, and Parker Doss, who also had a single reception for 47 yards.
Not only did success come from the air, but Chris Carson went to work on the ground, rushing for 2 touchdowns on 2 carries for 78 yards. Owen Oneal rushed for a 4-yard touchdown on his lone carry of the night, and Lane Towns found the endzone twice, as he had 4 carries for 98 yards. Colton Schmidt added to the Texans’ scoring rout as he found the endzone on a 7-yard carry.
Wimberley won easily against Manor New Tech 72-0.
Next week the Texans will travel to play Navarro, who is coming off a 64-14 win against Jarrell. Manor will return home to play Lago Vista, who are coming off a 66-0 win over Austin Achieve.
