There was a battle this past week in District 7-3A Division I. The Grandview Zebras were on the road against the West Trojans. The Zebras came in tied at the top of the district with the Whitney Wildcats, while the West Trojans were looking to stay within one game of first place.
It was a great, intense game. Grandview seemed to be in control most of the game, but a 4th quarter touchdown brought the Trojans within 2 points. Then, the Trojans got the ball right back, and had a chance to drive down and get the win. However, the Zebra’s defense made the stand, and Grandview got the ball back to run out the clock and hold on for a 21-19 win.

Next up for Grandview is the showdown with the 8-0 (6-0 in district play) Whitney Wildcats. The Wildcats are coming off of a 71-14 win over the Maypear Panthers. Whitney has outscored their last three opponents 220-28.
The West Trojans, now 5-3 on the season and 4-2 in district play, travel to face the 1-6 Dallas Gateway Gators. The Gators are coming off of their first win of the season, 50-22, over the Dallas Inspired Vision Eagles.
