The Longhorn’s search for a head coach is reportedly over. Cedar Hill will hire Arlington Seguin head coach Carlos Lynn as their new head coach, as reported by SportsDayHS and DCTF’s Matt Stepp.

The Longhorn faithful will definitely recognize the name – Carlos Lynn was a defensive coordinator on the 2006 Cedar Hill state title team. He posted a 45-50 record while the head coach of Arlington Seguin, posting his best record in the 2016 season.

Lynn will replace Joey McGuire, who left the program for a job in Matt Rhule’s regime at Baylor and led Cedar Hill to three state titles during his tenure. The Longhorns went 11-3 in McGuire’s last year as a head coach, but will graduate lots of impactful seniors.
