Matt Rhule’s recruiting train isn’t losing steam just yet.
On Friday evening, San Antonio Clark tight end Ben Sims announced his commitment to the Baylor Bears, bolstering what’s already an impressive haul signed up to play in Waco.

A three-star prospect, Sims also held offers from SMU, Bowling Green, Houston, Southern Miss, Texas State and UTSA following a junior season in which he hauled in 30 receptions for 477 yards and two touchdowns.
With Sims on board, Baylor now has its first 2018 tight end pledge and its 14th overall, giving the bears a class currently ranked No. 12 nationally and No. 2 in the Big 12 behind only the Texas Longhorns.
At 6’5, 241 pounds, Sims is ranked as the nation’s No. 1,072 player, No. 41 tight end and the No. 149 player in Texas, per 247Sports Composite.
