Highlights
Canadian ranks high – Most teams struggle when they move up a division. The players are bigger, faster, and stronger, and some schools can struggle to adjust. I don’t foresee that happening with the Canadian Wildcats. They’ve been too solid for too long, and the quick success of Brock gives us a reason to believe that Canadian won’t slow down.
Don’t doubt Waskom – Waskom has to replace a slew of talented players again as they gear up for a three-peat in 3A. This isn’t a new situation for the Wildcats, they had to go through the exact same situation in 2015. A duel with West Rusk will likely decide the Wildcat’s district.
Riding high on Sunnyvale’s offense – The Raiders had one of the best offenses in 3A, and with senior quarterback Caleb McDill returning, Sunnyvale should light up scoreboards again. When the Raiders get rolling on offense, it’s nigh impossible to stop, and the experience they return at the skill positions should keep Sunnyvale at the top of standings.
