Dallas Jesuit Key Players and Storylines
Jesuit has made the playoffs 18 times in its 22 seasons as a UIL program, but the Rangers have a new challenge this year. They join District 6-6A where they’ll go up against the likes of Allen, the McKinney schools, and the Prosper schools. It’ll be the first time they’ve faced some of these teams since 2018 and 2019.
They have a strong foundation to build on after last year’s bi-district title with 13 returning starters. However, the backfield will have a new look with junior quarterback JP Livingstone (360 passing yards and four touchdowns) and senior running back Ty Daboub (339 rushing yards and six touchdowns) stepping into starting roles. They’ll have a sturdy offensive line in front of them with 6’4″, 300-pound tackle Ben Bumgardner leading the charge.

Defensively, linebacker Jackson Gair (23 tackles, three TFLs) and defensive lineman Cole Johnson (41 tackles, seven TFLs) are expected to lead the front seven, while the secondary should be a strength with returning senior playmakers Mack Murphy (34 tackles) and Jack Bourret (30 tackles).
Jesuit may be “a historically undersized program,” but the Rangers usually find a way to be competitive under Hickman. They’ll expect to make an instant impression in their new district with the experience they have across their roster.
