Prayers up for Seth Russell
He’s the glue that holds the Bears together, and he’s had some form of injury the past two seasons. He’s a legitimately good person, and doesn’t deserve all of this.
Baylor almost had a day where their fans didn’t fight about Art Briles

Regardless of where you stand on this issue, and there’s only one moral side to stand on, Baylor’s stunning inability to do even the most basic of PR moves is staggering. Every single week it seems like something else happens, and Baylor coaches, players, or fans reinsert their foot into their shoe-shaped mouths. This week’s is definitely different, because the “Champions Are Built” hoodie wasn’t the only thing that happened.

Kendal Briles continues to make quizzical playcalls
I understand that the Briles family, despite everything that happened, have created an offensive juggernaut at Baylor. That being said, the Briles son is definitely not helping himself out with some of these calls.
Russell made a quizzical decision, and got himself picked off on the goal line. Briles called for quarterback runs, throws into blatant coverage, running when he obviously should’ve thrown, throwing when he obviously should’ve run. Baylor is melting down on offense, and a chunk of the blame lies with the playcalling.
Dede Westbrook is the truth
I’m not going to lie, at the beginning of the year, I didn’t understand the Dede Westbrook hype. I thought he would be good, but nowhere near this level of good. The Cameron Yoe product has been outstanding for the Sooners so far, and looks to be very good for a long time. This isn’t a one-off or one season of being excellent, he’s legitimately good.
Baylor’s defensive depth is being exposed
At the beginning of the year, we assumed the Bears had the best defense in the Big 12. In terms of their starting 11, they’re definitely up there, but not the best. The issue is their depth. You can’t win in the Big 12 without depth. Baylor’s recruiting has struggled in the wake of their scandal, and the future doesn’t look bright.
