After resigning as the head coach at A&M Consolidated in December, David Raffield is coming back to Cy Fair ISD. Raffield was named the first head football coach and athletic coordinator at the new Bridgeland High School. The move was announced by the school district on Wednesday.
Bridgeland High School will open for the 2017-2018 school year and will start competing in varsity athletics the following year.
Raffield spent the last six seasons at A&M Consolidated, compiling a 46-26 record including with one trip to the regional finals.
Cy Fair ISD is familiar territory for Raffield. Prior to his time in College Station, Raffield was the head coach at Cypress Falls from 2003-2010. He took the Golden Eagles to a state title game appearance in 2006 and two regional final appearances in 2004 and 2005.
